field show. If you can help, please bring your paint brushes with you to the Band Room at Skyview.
This is where we'll meet and determine the best place to do the actual painting.

Hello Everyone,
First I would like to thank all of the parents and dancers for all the effort, time and donations for our last car wash day! We raised over a $1000!!!!!!
Please read and respond to this e-mail ASAP!!! We need to know if you will be participating &/or donating equipment, etc :)
Location: Athletes Corner @ 1112 NE 78th Street (Hwy 99 side of building)

DANCERS!!!
Please bring a lunch and beverage (big water bottles would be great), shorts are fine, but the stores have requested no bikini tops only (tank, etc over is fine). The choices in clothes was perfect last time, but you may want to bring a jacket, just in case its chilly. Lets HOPE not! Guys, shirts off will be fine if you chose. We also need volunteer students to make signs :) Kenya still has the two left from the last car wash at Athletes Corner, but maybe 6-8 more would be perfect! These are best done on bright paper with clear, clean writing...remember...people are driving by so they must be able to read! Even one saying "Fundraiser"...and another one saying "trying to to get to Nationals!"
If you want to bring a flag or a piece of equipment for the "street team", that would be cool. My only concern with rifles and sabers is that they don't end up dropped on the street or hit an oncoming car :) So use your judgment. If you are just starting to get the hang of it, maybe stick with your flag. Last time, we had two customers come in and donate just because they saw the flags and they were on Color Guard in High school! We really only need a few, as only four dancers will be out there at a time.
This time around, there should be shifts as some of the dancers (you know your name:) washed cars and ALOT of huge nasty TRUCKS ALLLLL DAY long!!! PLEASE let us know if you need a ride ASAP. Bring a CD, towel for yourself, maybe an extra change of clothes~just in case. Oh, I almost forgot, you may want to bring a chair. Also a side note, we are going to try "stations" this time. Like rinse, wash, tires, rinse, dryers...so it won't be so confusing & the work is divided fairly.
Parents!!!! We need the following from YOU :)
1. 1 nozzle (with multiple settings), shammys, towels, car wash soap (2), mits (several), armor-all or tire cleaner (2), 1 or 2 hose connectors, tire brushes etc. All unused items will be returned, by your dancer this time. Graves Family, I still have your donations...oops & thank you. Please mark your items. You may send your donations with your dancer or drop them off a little before we get started (10:15ish).
2. Supervision. We need 2-4 parents from 10-6pm. We can break this up into shifts 10-2 & 2-6. Please RSVP ASAP.
3. Parents that are cleared for driving students please let us know if you are available to pick up & drop off dancers if they need a ride.
4. Girls will bring a lunch & a beverage, BUT additional BEVERAGES are mandatory & snacks would be wonderful.
5. We also need a safe way to collect $ donations. A fanny pack works fine.
6. Music: Dancers need music!! If you have a "boom box" that you can donate for the day, the girls will love you forever!!
PLEASE let us know if you will be attending DANCERS! We will be having many many many extra fundraisers this year to fund our trip to Nationals. PARENTS, assisting with all of our efforts to raise funds will save all of us all a bundle of money! Parents, please let us know if you will be able to volunteer & in what way ASAP.
Athletes Corner is more than happy to have us back for another round as we boosted their business & felt the dancers were very respectable & respectful! They called me twice to thank you!!!!!!!
What if it RAINS? Welp, I don't know. If it is going to be totally nasty & cold we will need to cancel. We will send out a confirmation & reminder a couple of days before the car wash. If the forecast looks bad, we will announce our decision in the email. Dancers also check your facebook for updates. BUT, lets hope for a beautiful day!!! Let's make $$$$ & have fun fun fun!!!!

Dear Parents,
Band and Dance Camp is right around the corner and I can feel the excitement in the air.I wanted to send a little note to families to let them know of some of the needs for camp this year so everyone can think of it over the weekend.
First of all I still need a couple more volunteers for registration tables on Monday.If you are able to help please let me know this weekend.
During camp the kids are given a popsicle break to help cool off on the hot days.We are looking for volunteers to bring popsicles every day at 3:00.Usually about 125 work well.They also have a little snack at the end of the day.
The second week of camp while we are at Kiggens, the kids are not allowed to leave during dinner Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, therefore we provide the meal.We are looking for volunteers to plan, prepare and help serve these meals.
Those are the more urgent needs.There will be volunteer sign-up sheets during registration so please check the table out.
Also, I wanted to give an update on fundraising opportunities.There are 2 going on. We have the Yellow Book delivery going on right now!Parents who have delivered in the past can go and pick out their routes at:2500 E. 5th St in Vancouver during normal business hours.Parents who have not delivered in the past need to attend a delivery meeting during normal business hours starting at 10am.Routes are going fast!!!
Again we are doing the Macy "Shop For A Cause” which will start on Monday.The coupons are $5.00 with 100% going into the students point accounts.You can print off the FLYER to show family, friends, etc. or pick one up at registration.When you receive the money for coupons call me for delivery of the cards.I am planning on being at camp everyday so delivery will be prompt.

Hello Everyone --
Band and Dance Camp is less than a week away.
Registration will begin:
8 o'clock AM
Monday August 13th
Skyview High School
Registration will go much smoother for everyone if you can download the needed forms from the website (
http://www.svbd.org/Pages/BandDanceCamp.aspx ), fill them out completely, and have them ready when you get to registration.
Before you come to registration, you must turn the sports packet in to the business office and pay the fees they require -- Activity Fee & ASB. Once you've done that, they will give you a "receipt" to bring to registration.
The business office will be open beginning Thursday August 9th and it is typically open from 7am to 1:30pm.
ALL BAND MEMBERS --
Please bring with you, on the first day of Band Camp:
- a 3 ring binder (1 to 1 1/2 inch)
- 50 clear plastic sheet protectors
- a pencil
- a pen
- a highlighter
All of these items are available in the school supplies section of Fred Meyer, Target, WalMart, Office Depot, Office Max, etc.
