Director of Bands
Tim Heichelheim (aka Mr. H) is the Director of Bands at Skyview High School. He earned his Bachelors in Music Education and Masters in Education (Curriculum and Development) from Portland State University.
Tim marched Seattle Cascades 2004-2006 then continued to march Santa Clara Vanguard 2007-2009. After aging out, he was the lead percussion visual instructor for Spirit of Atlanta 2010-2011, and then served as the assistant visual caption head for the Crossmen 2013-2015. Currently, he is a consultant and an instructor for the Madison Scouts. Tim has worked with many high schools in the Portland Metro Area and is part of the design staff and instructional team for Affinity Indoor Winds.
Tim is also a freelance musician around Portland as well as the band leader for The River City Riot! Brass Band.

Percussion Director
Jessi Vaughan is a percussionist and educator originally from Austin, TX. After graduating from Dripping Springs High School, she relocated to Portland, OR where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and a Master’s Degree in Education at Portland State University. She is currently the band director at North Marion High School and North Marion Middle School.
Jessi has been an active performer over the last 9 years. She was in front ensemble with The Cadets, Oregon Crusaders, OCI, and Guardians. She also performed for five years with the Portland State Wind Symphony.
She has been actively teaching percussion in the NWAPA circuit for six years. She is currently working at Skyview High School as the Percussion Director, and front ensemble coordinator. She has also taught with Shadow DBC, the Seattle Cascades, Impact Percussion, and with the Columbians.
She currently lives in Vancouver, WA with her partner Adam Fischer, and their Corgi Bongo.

Percussion Educator
Shawn Anderson has been a percussion educator in the Pacific Northwest for over 25 years. He has worked with numerous programs in the region from Auburn High School, Kamiak High School, Ferndale High School, Centennial High School, Westview High School, Beaverton High School, Liberty High School, Century High School, Seattle Cascades Drum & Bugle Corps, Columbians Drum Corps and Affinity Winter Percussion. Shawn's Marching background started at Auburn High School and continued with the Marauders from Longview, WA then the Seattle Cascades and the Blue Knights from Denver, CO. Shawn is married to his amazing wife Allyson and they have a wonderful son Bennett who currently attends Ridgefield High School. In his spare time he likes to play video games with his son and loves to find great food spots to eat!

Percussion Staff: Battery Technician
Isaac Cannon
A Portland native, Isaac has been a performing member of the Northwest Association for Performing Arts (NWAPA) since 2014. After being contracted with the Oregon Crusaders Indoor organization in 2017, he immediately became enthralled with the sheer athleticism and maturity it took to perform and compete at the highest level of the WGI and DCI activity. While studying music at Portland State University, Isaac additionally started his teaching career, sharing his love for the activity with many high school groups.
Isaac went on to perform with Impact Percussion for three consecutive seasons. He marched with The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps and was offered a contract with Dark Sky Percussion for the 2023 WGI season. After accumulating several years of performance and teaching experience from many world-class instructors, various schools around the country, and private rudimental lessons, Isaac has set a goal to represent the advancement and modernization of the marching arts in the Pacific Northwest.
Isaac joined the Skyview percussion staff as a battery technician in 2021.

Cynthia Cortney
Meet Cynthia Courtney! She is a proud alumna of The Skyview Reign Dance Team. Passionate about dance, she joined the Skyview dance team her freshman year. She later went on to march with The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps in 2021, and Impact Percussion in 2022. Cynthia is currently pursuing performance opportunities, but intends on attending a 4 year university. She currently resides in Vancouver, WA with her family and dog.

Percussion Staff: Front Ensemble Technician
Survir Kaur
Survir is a Vancouver based musician and Educator. She started her career as a French hornist and trumpeter at Skyview High School, and went on to learn percussion there. She is currently a member at Impact Percussion, and anticipates marching with the Columbians DBC this summer. She currently resides in Vancouver, WA where she enjoys working at a daycare throughout the week. She made her NWAPA teaching debut this year at Kelso, Liberty, and Skyview High schools. She plans to attend a 4 year university to earn a music education degree and hopes to, one day, have her own program somewhere in the PNW.

Sarah Lynch
Sarah is a Portland based musician and educator. She started her music career as a saxophonist, eventually moving to percussion, and went on to preform with the front ensembles of the Oregon Crusaders Indoor percussion ensemble, and later with the Sacramento Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps. She currently resides in the Portland Metro Area.

Adam Fischer
Adam has been playing percussion since he was 15 years old. He started with Skyview Winter Percussion and has also been involved with Northern Alliance Drum Corps, Oregon Crusaders, and OC Indoor. After his performance years, he's been teaching and arranging within the NWAPA circuit since 2018. His mastery is in marching percussion and visual in the marching arts. He currently resides in Vancouver, WA with his girlfriend and his dog.
